Added links to Microsoft Family Safety

 I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I've read good reviews from some respected people on techie mailing lists that
 the Microsoft Family Safety integrates into Windows user accounts for content filtering of web sites. Links to it have been added
 to the Internet Filtering and Parental Control section of the Everyday Software FAQ as well as to the Setup User Account section of
 the PC Setup FAQ.

New Avast Boot-Scan FAQ

 Alwil Software has released Version 5 of their Avast anti-virus software. Since the Avast Boot-Scan FAQ is far and away
	the most popular FAQ on my site and referenced by several AV forums (including Avast's) I had to get an update online. Knowing many
	still are using version 4.x until their licenses expire or a system refresh is made I did keep the old one online. A link to it
	is on the Version 5 Boot-Scan FAQ.

 "my Speed Tests page. After taking them

More References to Open DNS

 I've been most impressed with using Open DNS to provide content filtering and added it to FAQs such as the
 Security and Everyday Software pages. While talking about it with customers and friends I realized it might be
 helpful to post a brief, nuts and bolts blog, "Open
 DNS, an added layer to your network security."

Major update of the Malware/Spyware FAQ

 While rewriting the Security FAQ I made reference to the
 Spyware FAQ in it. There were references to very old versions of software
 and several invalid links.

Rewrote the Security FAQ

 Rewrote the Security FAQ. The old one got out of date and lost its usefulness. Hopefully the revamp will be helpful.

Updated the Avast Boot Scan FAQ

 Updated the Avast Boot Scan FAQ. Site statistics are indicating that this is far and away the most actively read page. Referrals are coming from
 many search engines and anti-virus help forums. Therefore the least I could do is get some Windows 7 screen captures and include that the boot scan is not available in 64-bit versions of Windows.

 When I took apart a system suspected of having bad fans (user complained of startup noises and there were signs of
 overheating) and found the dirtiest system I've dealt with in quite some time. I felt a pic

New site is done!

There is an entirely new look at Schmahl.net. It has been through a few revisions over the years and I've known for a while now that the frame technique was getting old and long in the face. It seemed no matter how I tried I kept returning to the same old tired looks. Realizing I am not an artsy guy and having time restrictions I asked for help from a person that (as of now) wishes to remain anonymous. He may branch out and start his own company, rest assured I'll make a post when that happens!

Changes include:

* using cascade style sheets

* left and right margins to prevent 22" wide sentences on new wide flat panel screens

* drop down menus for easier navigation

* fast load times

* The home page still has Tech Headlines, and now there is also a What's New at SWCA section

* Blogs - I'll post and allow comments on current topics that may affect SWCA customers and visitors

* Quick links on the top

I hope you like the results. Look it over and let me know by completing a survey at http://www.schmahl.net/poll.php

 There are still some bad links in it and other adjustments that need made. Your patience, kind input and feedback are appreciated
